Job Description

Synergy Capital is a rapidly growing, bespoke alternative investment manager that backs industrial and infrastructure businesses globally. We invest in opportunities that deliver significant human and economic benefits by directing capital towards lowcarbon solutions, developing sustainable infrastructure, and ensuring resilient supply chains.

We are seeking a highly motivated, analytical Investment Analyst/Associate to support our Investment Team with financial analysis, portfolio management, and transaction execution. The role is integral to evaluating investment opportunities, monitoring portfolio performance, and maintaining financial discipline across the firm's global investments and funds. The position can be based out of Dubai or Mumbai.

This is a unique opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong financial acumen and a passion for investing to work alongside an experienced investment team in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Analysis & Valuation

  • Build and maintain detailed financial and valuation models (discounted cash flow, comparable, precedent transactions).
  • Support the evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities and portfolio value creation initiatives.
  • Conduct comprehensive industry and market research to support investment recommendations.
  • Participate in due diligence, transaction documentation, and coordination with advisors.

Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track portfolio company financials and operational KPIs.
  • Prepare internal reports, investment committee presentations, and fund-level performance analyses.
  • Assist in quarterly portfolio reviews and investor reporting.

Financial Planning & Control

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis across portfolio companies and funds.
  • Coordinate with finance, legal, and compliance teams to ensure accurate, timely reporting and audit readiness.

Research & Market Intelligence

  • Conduct macroeconomic and sectoral research across key verticals Industrials, Infrastructure, Energy Transition, and Critical Services.
  • Monitor market trends, valuation benchmarks, and relevant transaction data.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from a reputed, highly ranked institution (e.g., IITs, NITs, or comparable international universities), with either an MBA from a leading business school (e.g., IIM A/B/C/L, ISB, or equivalent top international business schools) or a professional certification (CFA, CPA, ACCA, CA).
  • 25 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, or transaction advisory.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Capital IQ, PitchBook, or Bloomberg databases.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and cross-functional environment.
