Investment Associate Real Estate Investment.
Overview:
Our client is seeking a full-time Investment Associate with a focus on real estate investments. They are actively managing a real estate portfolio. The role requires rigorous, bottom-up fundamental research, focusing on structuring advantaged business models.
The candidate will report to the SEO and work alongside another senior real estate specialist.
Investment Mandate
- Asset classes: public and private equity, and distressed debt.
- Sector: real estate.
- Regions: GCC & Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Performing qualitative and quantitative research and analysis on different categories of Real Estate.
- Preparing investment reports for the investment committee.
- Monitoring portfolios and maintaining up-to-date research.
- Supporting the development and ongoing review of various tools and models for research and portfolio management purposes.
- Supporting the Investment Partners team, including preparing presentations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Years of relevant experience: 6 to 8 years.
- Required real estate experience: real estate developer, buy-side, equity research, consulting/advisory or investment banking (capital markets, M&A or restructuring).
- Education: minimum bachelor's degree from a leading university.
- Designations: CFA is an asset but not required.
Required skills and qualifications should include:
- Experience conducting rigorous Real Estate company-level diligence.
- Ability to cover several sub-sectors and generate ideas.
- Strong analytical, accounting, financial modelling and communication skills (verbal & written).
- History of performance in investment recommendations or advisory mandates.
- Candidates with extensive accounting experience will be considered.
- Passion for Real Estate, problem-solving, and developing non-consensus views.
Candidates must have a background in real estate investment to be considered for this position.
