About the Role

A leading AI research initiative is contracting Finance Experts to contribute domain expertise to a project designed to improve advanced foundational AI models. The role involves leveraging professional experience in investment banking or private equity to design, evaluate, and refine complex financial datasets that reflect real-world dealmaking and modeling workflows.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience at top firms in investment banking or private equity.
• Expertise in at least one product group or coverage group:

Product Groups

• Restructuring & Distressed Investing
• PIPE (Private Investment in Public Equities) / Convertible Security Models
• IPO Modeling
• Derivatives

Coverage Groups

• Biotech
• Gaming & Lodging
• Telecom
• Media & Entertainment
• Transportation & Logistics

Engagement Details

• Schedule: Fully remote, asynchronous.
• Commitment: Minimum 20 hours/week.
• Duration: Until December, with potential for future projects.
• Successful contributors increase chances of selection for additional projects.

Vetting Process

1. Short behavioral interview (10 minutes) about previous deal experience.
2. Technical assessment (30 minutes) testing financial expertise.
3. Paid assessment (2 hours) evaluating modeling skills.

Compensation & Structure

• Rate: $150/hour.
• Independent contractor role, classified as at-will.
• Weekly payouts via Stripe Connect, based on hours logged.
