We are actively seeking an ambitious professional to join our Corporate banking team at ADCB to work alongside passionate colleagues who share your ambition to redefine excellence in UAE banking.

In this role, your key responsibilities include

Strategy and Plans

In conjunction with, and as required by the Chief Officer of the Group, contribute to the formulation,

implementation and delivery of the Group's strategy in line with the ADCB's vision, mission, values and priorities

Translate the strategy into operational business plans for the short, medium and long term within the department(s) and ensure that performance is monitored, reported and delivered and necessary actions are taken to achieve the strategy and plans

Transaction Origination and Structuring

Lead the origination of high-value, complex real estate financing and advisory transactions, including acquisition finance, leveraged finance, and securitization, by identifying market opportunities, developing innovative solutions, and coordinating with relationship managers to deliver new to Bank and new to client products that support ADCB's strategic growth and revenue targets

Transaction Management and Execution

Direct and oversee the structuring and execution of bespoke real estate investment banking transactions by managing deal teams, ensuring the integrity of financial models and legal documentation, and aligning transaction parameters with borrower needs, market conditions, and ADCB's risk appetite to fulfil contractual obligations and maintain execution excellence

Business Generation

Drive business generation and franchise growth by securing mandates from new clients and expanding product offerings to existing clients, ensuring that a significant portion of annual transactions are for New to Bank (NTB) clients or New Products thereby positioning ADCB's Real Estate Investment Banking to consistently achieve its income targets, strengthen market presence, and realize its long-term strategic objectives

Relationship and Market Intelligence Management

Cultivate and manage senior-level relationships with Clients, Banks, Law Firms, and Professional Advisors to enhance ADCB's visibility and credibility in the Real Estate Investment Banking space, while leveraging market intelligence and referral networks to support deal origination and strategic decision-making

Leadership

Manage employees and teams by overseeing their performance management, recruitment, learning and development to ensure high levels of engagement, and competence, a motivated work environment and to maximise employee contribution to business performance

Change Management

Drive the management of change in the business area through direct reports and teams by providing inputs for, and partaking in change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account best practice and standards in the business environment

Financial

Recommend and manage the budget for the business area and monitor financial performance so that the business is aware of anticipated costs and revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance and improvement opportunities are identified and addressed to ensure the budget is managed in line with requirements

Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures

Develop and oversee the creation and implementation of the required policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of the business area's activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements and standards are fulfilled while ensuring that ADCB delivers best-in-class services, products and innovation whilst safeguarding the Bank

Customer Service

Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the Bank's required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions

The ideal candidate should have the following experience

  • Minimum 10 years experience in international investment banking, leading origination, structuring, and execution of complex real estate transactions
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Pure Sciences, Economics, or related fields
  • Membership in loan, bond, or similar structuredfinance professional associations
  • Strong knowledge of international market practices, real estate lending and investment standards, and banking regulations
  • Broad product expertise from vanilla loans, bonds, and sukuk to structured solutions such as securitisation and acquisition financing
