Role Overview
Alterra is seeking a high‑performing Senior Associate to join its Investor Relations team, with a primary focus on sales enablement and fundraising content excellence. This role will oversee the RFP and Marketing Presentation functions, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, consistent, and strategically aligned materials that support global fundraising efforts across Alterra's investment platform.
The Senior Associate will work in close partnership with Investor Relations, Product Marketing, and investment teams to enhance the clarity, accuracy, and impact of all external-facing materials, spanning primary funds, secondaries, co‑investments, and private credit offerings. This role is critical to ensuring Alterra presents a compelling, cohesive, and institutional‑grade narrative to current and prospective investors.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Enablement & Fundraising Materials
- Drive the production of best‑in‑class fundraising and sales enablement materials, including RFP responses, pitchbooks, marketing presentations, and investor collateral.
- Oversee both the RFP and Marketing Presentation teams, setting standards for quality, consistency, and strategic positioning.
- Ensure all materials align with Alterra's investment philosophy, brand standards, and fundraising objectives across regions and channels.
Content Strategy & Subject Matter Expertise
- Act as a subject matter expert across both investment and non‑investment content, with a deep understanding of Alterra's strategies, structures, and value proposition.
- Refine and maintain core messaging frameworks, ensuring clear, differentiated, and investor‑focused narratives across all products.
- Translate complex investment concepts into clear, accurate, and compelling content tailored to institutional investors.
RFP Management & Global Consistency
- Manage and continuously improve the global RFP content database, ensuring it is accurate, current, and easily accessible.
- Establish and enforce global standards for RFP responses, ensuring consistency in tone, messaging, and data across regions.
- Lead responses to complex, high‑priority RFPs and due diligence requests.
Experience & Background
- 5–8+ years of experience in Investor Relations, fundraising, product marketing, or sales enablement, preferably within private markets (private equity, private credit, infrastructure, or alternatives).
- Strong exposure to RFP management and institutional fundraising materials.
- Experience working with multiple asset classes, including primaries, secondaries, co‑investments, and private credit, is highly desirable.
- Exceptional written communication and storytelling skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, investor‑ready content.
- Highly organized, process‑driven, and comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
- Strategic mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Confident working in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment with senior stakeholders.
