IT Operations Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead our cloud infrastructure operations and security initiatives. This strategic role requires a hands-on leader who can balance technical expertise with strong management capabilities to drive our Azure-based infrastructure, implement robust security measures, and manage critical vendor relationships while optimizing costs and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Management

Design, implement, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and services including VMs, App Services, Azure SQL, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, and Azure Active Directory

Architect scalable and resilient cloud solutions that align with business objectives and growth requirements

Oversee cloud migration projects and ensure smooth transition of workloads to Azure

Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform

Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning for all cloud services Security Architecture & Implementation

Lead security strategy and implementation across the organization's IT infrastructure

Configure and manage Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups, and Application Security Groups

Implement and maintain Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions including Barracuda and Azure WAF

Oversee email security gateway solutions to protect against phishing, malware, and spam threats Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing

Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures in compliance with industry regulations

Manage identity and access management (IAM) including Azure AD, conditional access policies, and privileged identity management

Respond to security incidents and lead incident response activities

License & System Administration

Manage enterprise software licensing portfolio including Microsoft 365, Azure subscriptions, and third-party applications

Oversee Dynamics 365 Lifecycle Services (LCS) for implementation, configuration, and ongoing management

Optimize license allocation to ensure cost-effectiveness while meeting business needs

Maintain accurate inventory of all software licenses and ensure compliance with licensing agreements

Coordinate with Microsoft and other vendors for license renewals and negotiations

Required Qualifications Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred)

8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management with at least 3 years in a leadership role

5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and architecture
