Job Title: IT PMO / IT Demand Manager: 12 Months Contract, UAE
We are looking for an experienced PMO andIT Demand Manager to support and improve the front-end of the technology demand lifecycle. This role will sit at the intersection of business and IT, working closely with stakeholders to shape, assess, and progress new technology demands from initial request and business case through to governance approval and handover into delivery.
This is a hands-on role for someone who has operated within IT PMO, demand management, or strategic IT operations, and who is comfortable bringing structure, pace, and governance to a high-volume demand environment.
A key focus of the role will be helping the organisation manage and prioritise a significant pipeline of requests, with many demands related to AI use cases, including workflows, automation, and agent-based solutions.
The role is focused on facilitating, governing, and progressing demand, with handover to the PMO for execution and delivery
Key Responsibilities
- Support business and IT demand owners in preparing, refining, and submitting business cases and demand requests
- Review incoming demands for completeness, quality, and alignment to governance and prioritisation criteria
- Manage the demand pipeline and backlog, including monitoring ageing items and driving progress on stalled or non-compliant requests
- Facilitate the end-to-end demand management process, ensuring demands are properly assessed, tracked, and progressed
- Prepare materials for governance forums, support prioritisation discussions, and track decisions and actions through to closure
- Ensure approved demands are documented appropriately and transitioned smoothly into PMO or operational delivery channels
- Define and track relevant KPIs, SLAs, weekly reporting, and executive dashboards to provide visibility across the demand landscape
- Maintain strong data quality standards across the demand process, including remediation of incomplete or inconsistent submissions
- Drive adoption of demand management processes through training, communication, and stakeholder engagement
- Support related activities such as RFP inputs or early-stage initiative shaping, where needed
Ideal Candidate
- Hands-on experience working as an IT Demand Manager, IT PMO professional, or within strategic IT operations
- Strong experience managing demand intake, governance, prioritisation, and business case review processes
- Comfortable operating in environments with high volumes of demand and multiple senior stakeholders
- Good understanding of IT operating models, governance structures, and how initiatives transition into delivery
- Strong knowledge of AI use cases and business value, particularly around workflows, automation, and intelligent agents
- Able to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous requests and convert them into a manageable demand pipeline
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the confidence to work across both business and technology teams
- Experience producing reporting, dashboards, and insights for senior leadership
- Additional exposure to RFP support or early-stage initiative shaping would be beneficial
