Purpose of the Role
To lead and oversee a portfolio of related projects (a program) ensuring they collectively achieve strategic business objectives for the Global IT division. This role involves high-level coordination, strategic alignment, and executive stakeholder management, and is critical for the governance and reporting of the EMEA PMO portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Strategy & Leadership: Define program objectives and develop the overarching PMO strategy for implementation, aligning multiple projects to business goals.
- Portfolio Coordination: Oversee and coordinate the efforts, timelines, and dependencies of multiple project teams to ensure synergy and strategic alignment.
- Executive Stakeholder Management: Act as the key liaison between executive sponsors, business leads, and project teams. Facilitate Steering Committee meetings (Bi-weekly Transformation Steering, Monthly Program Governance).
- Resource & Benefits Management: Optimize resource allocation across the program. Define, track, and realize the program's intended business benefits and ROI.
- Governance & Reporting: Ensure program adherence to all PMO standards and governance controls. Deliver comprehensive performance reports and portfolio health checks to senior leadership.
- Risk Management at Scale: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that impact the entire program.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years as a Senior Project Manager and 4+ years total in IT project management.
- Proven experience managing large, cross-functional programs with significant budget and resource responsibility.
Skills:
- Expert-level strategic planning and business alignment.
- Superior executive presentation, communication, and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to scope technical requirements and prioritize deliverables.
Certifications (Mandatory/Desired):
- Must Have: PMP or Prince2.
- Desired: Program Management Professional (PgMP), Prince2 Agile, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSS-GB).
- Other: Must have a record of exceeding expectations in recent performance reviews and commit to 20+ hours of continuous learning per year.
