We are looking for an IT Project Manager to support the delivery of technology projects for our client, a large semi-governmental organization in Dubai. This role requires a hands-on project management professional who can support the Delivery Manager across multiple initiatives while independently managing smaller projects.
This is an initial 12-month contract role within the organization and reports to the Delivery Manager in the Technology department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Delivery Manager in planning, executing, and monitoring technology projects.
- Independently manage smaller projects from initiation to closure, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, budget, and quality requirements.
- Maintain project plans, RAID logs, status reports, and other project documentation.
- Coordinate activities across business teams, technology teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare project dashboards, executive reports, and governance updates.
- Support PMO governance activities, including steering committee preparation, project reviews, and action tracking.
- Assist in establishing and enhancing PMO processes, reporting frameworks, and governance standards.
- Monitor project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests, escalating where required.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and ensure adherence to project methodologies and organizational policies.
- Support UAT, deployment planning, vendor coordination, and lessons learned activities.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- 4–6 years of experience in IT project management, PMO, or project coordination roles within enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting large technology programmes while independently delivering smaller projects.
- Knowledge of PMO governance, project reporting, dashboarding, and executive status reporting.
- Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Experience managing project artefacts including project plans, RAID logs, status reports, and action trackers.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Exposure to PMO setup, governance frameworks, or continuous improvement initiatives is advantageous.
- Experience delivering enterprise applications, digital transformation, or technology-enabled business projects is preferred.
- CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum, or equivalent certification is desirable.
- Experience within government, semi-government, real estate, or large enterprise organizations would be advantageous.
