Position Objective
To support and maintain a telecom network implementation tracking platform built on Odoo (Web & Mobile), ensuring system stability, performance, cybersecurity compliance, and strong user adoption. The role combines application technical support, user training and enablement, and infrastructure coordination across telecom field and back-office environments.
Job Description & Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for the Odoo-based application (web and mobile platforms).
- Troubleshoot system issues related to work orders, field inspections, asset tracking (PN/SN), and project tracking.
- Support mobile application users, including field engineers and inspectors, ensuring smooth system usage.
- Manage user roles, access rights, and permissions in line with security policies.
- Coordinate with development teams for bug fixes, system enhancements, and upgrades.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate system releases.
- Maintain system documentation, user guides, and change logs.
- Conduct user training sessions in both Arabic and English.
- Prepare and maintain user manuals, SOPs, and quick reference guides.
- Provide onboarding support for new users and deliver post-go-live hypercare support.
- Promote adherence to digital processes and workflows to improve system adoption.
- Monitor and maintain application servers, primarily on Linux environments.
- Coordinate operating system patching, updates, and security compliance activities.
- Monitor PostgreSQL database performance, health, and availability.
- Troubleshoot network-related issues including VPN access, firewall configurations, and DNS settings.
- Validate backup processes and disaster recovery readiness.
- Coordinate with cloud or hosting providers for infrastructure-related support.
- Manage SSL certificates and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards.
- Monitor system performance metrics including uptime, incident resolution time, and user adoption.
- Prepare and present monthly technical and performance reports.
- Recommend and implement improvements in automation, system performance, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- 6 years of experience in ERP/Odoo support, infrastructure administration, and application technical support.
- Strong experience with Odoo (Community edition) and understanding of ERP workflows.
- Basic knowledge of Python and familiarity with PostgreSQL databases.
- Experience supporting web and mobile applications.
- Hands-on experience in Windows and Linux server administration.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and firewall configurations.
- Knowledge of patch management, server hardening, and backup/recovery processes.
- Experience working with cloud or virtualized environments (OCI, AWS, Azure preferred).
- Experience in telecom or infrastructure project environments, particularly OSP, is highly preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
