Overview
Mid-level IT professional (3–6 years experience) responsible for managing internal IT systems, supporting employees, and improving operations through automation and effective use of LLMs. The role combines hands-on support with continuous efficiency improvements. On-site position
Responsibilities
Internal IT Operations
- Manage devices, users, and policies via Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365
- Handle onboarding and offboarding (accounts, devices, access, software)
- Provide 1st line IT support to employees.
Infrastructure & Systems
- Manage Linux-based VPS and internal services
- Maintain access (SSH, keys), system updates, and backups
- Troubleshoot server and connectivity issues
Security & Access Control
- Enforce MFA, Conditional Access, and device compliance policies
- Manage user permissions following least-privilege principles
- Handle basic security incidents (e.g., compromised accounts, lost devices)
Automation & AI-Driven Efficiency
- Automate onboarding, system setup, and repetitive IT tasks
- Use LLMs to accelerate troubleshooting, scripting, and documentation
- Continuously reduce manual work and improve IT workflows
Monitoring & Documentation
- Monitor system and service uptime
- Configure alerts and resolve recurring issues
- Maintain clear runbooks and internal documentation
Customer-Facing Technical Support (Occasional)
- Assist Application Engineers with technical escalations
- Troubleshoot MATLAB license servers, network access, and environment setup
Requirements
Must Have
- 3–6 years of experience in IT systems administration
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365
- Strong Linux administration skills (SSH, services, networking basics)
- Scripting ability (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
- Proven troubleshooting skills across endpoints and servers
- Demonstrated use of LLMs to improve technical workflows (automation, debugging, or support)
- Good level of English (written and spoken)
Nice to Have
- Experience with VPS or cloud environments
- Knowledge of reverse proxies, TLS, or networking fundamentals
- Familiarity with MATLAB license servers environments
