Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Japanese Cuisine Chef, based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The chef will be responsible for preparing and crafting authentic Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi, and teppanyaki. Daily tasks include meal preparation, ensuring food presentation meets high standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. The chef will also collaborate with the team to create new menu items, source high-quality ingredients, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in Japanese culinary skills, including sushi preparation, sashimi slicing, and teppanyaki cooking
• Understanding of ingredients, flavor combinations, and techniques specific to Japanese cuisine
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety standards
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for collaborating with kitchen staff
• Creativity in developing unique and innovative Japanese dishes
• Previous experience in a Japanese or Asian cuisine restaurant is preferred
• Formal culinary training or certification in Japanese cuisine is an advantage
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment
