Job Description Summary

The Disease Awareness Specialist (DAS) for urticaria leads integrated, cross-functional efforts to advance understanding, awareness, and optimal management of urticaria across Saudi Arabia. This role bridges medical, market, and stakeholder needs by education and ecosystem development in alignment with local regulations and company policies. The DAS serves as a subject-matter liaison across medical affairs, market access, commercial, patient engagement, and external stakeholders to improve patient outcomes while maintaining strict compliance and non-promotional standards.

This role focuses on non-promotional, medical-scientific activities. It does not provide clinical advice to patients and must operate within company policies, Saudi laws, and applicable industry codes.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the Saudi-specific urticaria disease area plan aligned with regional medical strategy.
  • Map care pathways and identify gaps (diagnosis delays, referral flows, treatment access, patient education).
  • Build trusted, compliant relationships with dermatologists, allergists/immunologists, general practitioners/family physicians (when needed), pharmacists, payors, and health authorities.
  • Facilitate scientific exchange on urticaria burden, evidence, and best practices (following local codes and company SOPs).
  • Support expert panels, advisory boards, and working groups to address unmet needs.
  • Support patient awareness campaigns focusing on disease understanding and disease burden.
  • Partner with market access to articulate urticaria burden and health economic considerations within local frameworks.
  • Engage on formulary and pathway discussions to improve equitable access, in coordination with cross-functional stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Pharmacy or Life sciences
  • Minimum 2 years in pharmaceutical Sales. Experience in Dermatology (urticaria), and/or Immunology is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of the Saudi healthcare system, payor dynamics, and regional variability.
  • Fluent in both English & Arabic languages.
  • Must be based in Jeddah, with the ability to travel across the Kingdom.
