Role Description The Junior Accountant role at TMEE is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo.Responsible for supporting the accounting and finance team in posting daily journal entries, performing reconciliations to resolve any discrepancies, and assisting in monthly, quarterly and year-end closing. The role may also involve occasional operational tasks such as stock taking. This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can work independently and contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
Responsibilities
1. Posting daily journal entries, managing accounts payable and receivables.
2. Prepare payment requests for local and foreign vendors.
3. Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations to resolve discrepancies.
4. Assist in the preparation of regular financial reports and statements.
5. Assist with monthly and year-end financial closing activities.
6. Assist in tracking and posting accruals and provisions.
7. Support in costing calculation and inventory valuation.
8. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
10. Support routine tax filings.
11. Support operational treasury tasks whenever requested.
12. Participate in stock taking and inventory reconciliation as required.
13. Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
14. Contribute to process improvements within financial and treasury operations.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
· 2–3 years of experience in a financial analyst or related role.
· High standard of professional ethics.
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
· Solid understanding of financial statements and reporting.
· Attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Willingness to engage in hands-on tasks such as stock taking.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Energetic, committed, and eager to learn and grow.
