Job Overview

A Junior Assistant Tour Operator supports the operations team in organising, coordinating, and delivering travel services for international clients visiting Egypt. The role focuses on handling reservations, assisting with itinerary preparation, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring smooth execution of tours and travel programs.

Key Responsibilities1. Booking & Reservations
  • Assist in booking hotels, Nile cruises, transportation, domestic flights, and excursions.
  • Coordinate with local suppliers (hotels, transport companies, guides, restaurants).
  • Follow up on confirmations and availability.
2. Itinerary Preparation
  • Help prepare detailed travel itineraries for clients and tour operators abroad.
  • Update programs based on availability and client requests.
  • Ensure accuracy of services, timings, and contact details.
3. Operational Support
  • Prepare vouchers and service orders.
  • Assist in arranging airport meet & assist services.
  • Coordinate guide and driver assignments.
  • Support last-minute changes or emergency situations.
4. Communication
  • Communicate with overseas travel agents and partners.
  • Maintain professional email correspondence.
  • Follow up on pending bookings and payments.
5. Documentation & Administration
  • Maintain booking records in the company system.
  • File contracts, confirmations, and invoices.
  • Assist in preparing operational reports.
Required Skills
  • Good knowledge of Egypt's tourist destinations (Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good English communication skills (other languages are a plus).
  • Ability to work under pressure during peak seasons.
  • Basic knowledge of travel systems and Microsoft Office.
Working Environment
  • Office-based role within a travel agency or DMC in Egypt.
  • May require extended hours during high season.
  • Interaction with international markets and local suppliers daily.
