Job Description: Junior Business Developer
The Junior Business Developer will support the agency's growth by identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and assisting in the development of client relationships. This role is ideal for a motivated, results-driven individual looking to build a career in business development within the digital marketing space.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Identify and research potential clients across target industries (e.g., e-commerce, SaaS, healthcare, retail).
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads through outbound outreach (email, LinkedIn, cold calls) and inbound follow-ups.
- Use CRM tools to track leads, activities, and follow-up tasks.
Market Research
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and new business opportunities.
- Analyze client pain points and position the agency's services as solutions.
Outreach & Communication
- Craft personalized email sequences and LinkedIn messages to initiate conversations with decision-makers (Marketing Directors, VPs, CMOs).
- Schedule discovery calls and meetings for senior business developers or leadership.
- Assist in preparing pitch decks, proposals, and presentation materials.
Relationship Support
- Support senior team members in nurturing client relationships through follow-ups and administrative coordination.
- Help maintain client satisfaction by ensuring smooth handoffs to the delivery team after contract signing.
Reporting & Administration
- Track and report on outreach metrics (emails sent, response rates, meetings booked, conversion rates).
- Maintain accurate records of all business development activities in the CRM.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on pipeline status and progress toward goals.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- +2 years of experience in business development, sales, lead generation, or client-facing roles (internships count).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) or Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs).
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and meet targets.
Preferred
- Experience with CRM software (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Pipedrive).
- Familiarity with digital marketing concepts (PPC, SEO, social media advertising, analytics).
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Lusha, or similar prospecting tools.
- Understanding of the US market or experience working with US-based companies.
- Previous internship or entry-level role in an agency environment.
