Job Purpose:

The Junior Engineer IT is responsible for providing technical support, assisting in system administration, and contributing to the maintenance and development of IT infrastructure and applications. In the real estate industry, the role supports day-to-day IT operations across property management, leasing, facilities, sales, and customer service functions. The purpose is to ensure smooth functioning of hardware, networks, and applications, while also learning and contributing to digital transformation initiatives that enhance tenant, client, and employee experiences.

Key Accountabilities:

IT Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide first-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and telephony systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and escalate unresolved cases to senior IT staff.
  • Assist employees with login, access, and basic application issues.
  • Support setup of new users (email, accounts, access rights).

Systems & Applications Assistance

  • Assist in maintaining ERP, CRM, property management systems, and facility management software.
  • Support users with application navigation and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in software upgrades, testing, and deployments.
  • Help document common user issues and solutions.

Network & Infrastructure Support

  • Provide assistance in maintaining LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN systems.
  • Support network device setup (routers, switches, firewalls) under supervision.
  • Monitor system alerts and escalate issues to IT Manager/Engineer.
  • Assist in routine checks of servers, backups, and storage devices.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Follow IT security policies to protect company data and systems.
  • Ensure antivirus updates and security patches are applied on time.
  • Report any suspicious activities or potential security breaches.

IT Asset & Inventory Management

  • Assist in maintaining records of IT assets (laptops, mobiles, printers, networking equipment).
  • Help with issuance and recovery of IT equipment for employees.
  • Track asset allocation and update logs accordingly.

Documentation & Learning

  • Maintain IT logs of issues, resolutions, and maintenance activities.
  • Document standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides.
  • Participate in training and on-the-job learning to develop IT skills.

Educational Qualifications, Work Experience, and Skills Required:

Educational Qualification & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Work Experience:

  • 02 years of experience in IT support/engineering (internship or entry-level role acceptable).
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Mac), MS Office, email systems (Exchange/Outlook).

Skills required:

  • Familiarity with networks (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi), routers, and firewalls.
  • Understanding of ERP/CRM or property management systems is an advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.
