Job Brief:
We are seeking a detail-orientedJunior Estimation Engineerto support the estimation and costing function within a metal fabrication environment. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates for sheet metal fabrication projects, supporting senior estimators in bid preparation, and working closely with engineering and procurement teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in metal fabrication estimation, a strong technical understanding of fabrication processes, and the ability to work efficiently within tight deadlines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation:Analyze technical drawings (2D/3D) to calculate material, labor, and finishing costs specifically for sheet metal fabrication.
- ERP Management:Utilize Odoo ERP to input data, manage Bill of Materials (BOM), and track project estimates.
- Technical Support:Assist the Senior Estimator in preparing comprehensive commercial bids and quotations.
- Material Take-off:Perform accurate quantity take-offs and coordinate with the procurement team for current market pricing of materials like stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel.
- Process Optimization:Assist in evaluating manufacturing processes (laser cutting, bending, welding, powder coating) to provide the most cost-effective solutions.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of2+ yearsof professional experience specifically within theSheet Metal or Metal Fabrication industry (Mandatory).
- Proficiency inOdoo ERP and AutoCAD.Familiarity withSolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software is a plus.
- Must hold aDiploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineeringor a related technical field.
- Open to gaining experience with international projects and potential abroad assignments if required.
- Strong mathematical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
