Job Title: Estimation Engineer - Fitout Projects

Location: Dubai

Job Type: Full Time

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Estimation Engineer to join our team specializing in fitout projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost estimation, project management, and a keen understanding of fitout specifications and requirements. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate cost assessments and contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for fitout projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overheads.
  • Take-offs: Conduct quantity take-offs from architectural drawings and specifications to determine material requirements and costs.
  • Vendor Coordination: Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and clarify scope of work.
  • Bid Preparation: Assist in preparing and submitting competitive bids, ensuring all aspects of the project are covered.
  • Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering during the estimation phase.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and clients to gather project requirements and provide input on design alternatives.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and costs to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of estimates, changes, and any communication related to project costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Estimation Engineer, preferably in fitout projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
