Job Title: Junior Financial Controller UAE

Salary: maximum salary AED 18K/month

Reporting To: Area General Manager
We are hiring for our client, a well-established Food & Beverage group in the UAE, seeking an experienced JuniorFinancial Controller to oversee financial operations, reporting, compliance, and cost control functions.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Control & Reporting
- Review and analysis of month-end accounts and P&L statements
- Preparation and presentation of monthly business reviews
- Prepare annual budgets and on-demand forecasts (Revenue, EBITDA)
- Weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts (operating & investment)
- Prepare accounting ratios and financial analysis
- Integration of accounting data into Group consolidation systems
- Prepare all month-end closing entries and review accounting team entries
- Prepare manual monthly accruals, reversals, and balance sheet reconciliations
Cash Flow & Payments
- Weekly and monthly supplier cash flow forecasting
- Arbitration of supplier payments based on hierarchy and priority
- Approval of purchase orders and operating invoices
- Ensure accurate accounting allocation (cost center, VAT code, spend category)
Compliance & Audit
- Lead all audit processes and accounts justification for external auditors
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns
- Monitor lease agreement commitments (audit reports, monthly reports, sales certificates)
- Ensure compliance with UAE accounting and VAT regulations
F&B Cost Control
- Weekly review of flash costs and ad hoc cost reviews
- Monthly inventory reviews
- Direct oversight of F&B cost control processes
- Negotiation of beverage contracts
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Direct management of Accounting, Purchasing, and F&B Cost Control teams (8 team members)
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders and shareholders
- Act as key contact for Head Office Finance, Cost Control, and IT departments
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Insurance departments on reporting, contracts, and group tools deployment
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Financial Controller, preferably within the Food & Beverage industry
- Proven experience managing complex cash flow forecasts, monthly reporting, and multi-shareholder environments
- Strong accounting and/or auditing background within the UAE
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
- Experience with MICROS, MC, and Workday systems
- Fluent French is a plus
