The profile focuses on planning and coordinating the activities related to the start-up phase of plants and complex industrial systems. The role ensures the operational alignment between the Technical, Construction, Procurement and Plant&Equipment departments of the Project.
The main goal is defining a detailed plant that can integrate the activities and contributions of all involved bodies, monitoring the status o advancement, identifying divergences and defining eventual corrective actions, therefore guaranteeing the prompt and correct start-up of all systems.
Key responsibilities
Industrial Planning and Activity Coordination
- Supportin the development of an integrated plan for installing and starting the equipment and plants of the construction site.
- Coordinating activities between:
- Technical Office (civil engineering design)
- Construction (carrying out civil engineering works),
- Procurement (procuring the required equipment),
- Plant & Equipment (installation, assembly and commissioning).
Program Development
- Drafting work detailed work programs through Gantt diagrams, with the timings and responsibilities of each department.
- Collaborating with all parties concerned to ensure that all activities are fully synchronised with the project deadlines.
Supervision of Request, Purchase and Delivery processes
- Defining a timetable to:
- issue the Purchase Requests,
- prepare technical information (specifications, layouts, etc,)
- issue orders,
- deliver assets, services and supplementary components to the construction site
- Constantly monitoring the status of all activities, identifying risks, delays and advancement and recovery opportunities; proactively assess eventual supplier on-site inspections.
- Controlling the status and delivery of plants and mobile equipment, ensuring their arrival and readiness according to construction site needs.
Reports and Documentation
- Providing clear and consistent reports regarding the project's progresses and the readiness of all equipment and plants.
- Periodically preparing and updating the production reports regarding the project's initial phases.
Progress Monitoring, Analysis and Management
- Tracking the progress of planned activities, identifying delays, risks and opportunities for improvement; interacting with all organizational levels and carrying out on-site assessments.
- Critically analysing plan variations, recommending corrective actions and activating escalation activities when required.
- Identifying and implementing (or contribute to implementing) corrective actions and recovery or improvement plans, acting as a focal point to ensure that activities are correctly carried out and the correct start-up.

- Excellent knowledge of project management tools ((Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Power BI).
- Advanced skills in Excel and Powerpoint, used to prepare analyses, reports and presentations for the Management

Goal of the Role
Supporting the construction site in defining and keeping a detailed industrial plan for equipment, plants and civil works. Acting as a reference point for coordinating between Departments, ensuring the project's correct execution and that equipment works perfectly.
Educational and Experience requirements
- Engineering Degree (three-year or MsC), preferably in Mechanics, Electronics, Industrial, Civil or Management Engineering; Masters or MBA's are also evaluated positively.
- 1-3 years of experience as a consultant and/or in similar roles in structured companies, belonging preferably to th industrial or infrastructure sectors.
- Willingness to travel and to move abroad for short periods (2-3 years).
