Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled K2 Administrator / Workflow Automation Specialist to manage, maintain, and enhance our enterprise workflow automation ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with K2 Five, K2 Cloud, or earlier K2 versions, along with strong technical expertise in SmartForms, SmartObjects, and system integrations. This role requires a proactive professional who can ensure high availability, optimal performance, and seamless delivery of business process automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration & Operations
- Manage, monitor, and support K2 workflow and process automation environments (K2 Five, K2 Cloud, or legacy versions).
- Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, and patch management for K2 platforms.
- Ensure system stability, performance, and high availability across all K2 environments.
Development & Configuration Support
- Maintain, enhance, and optimize SmartObjects, SmartForms, workflows, and underlying integration components.
- Work closely with business and development teams to facilitate workflow deployments, form modifications, and process updates.
Integrations & Connectivity
- Manage integrations with external systems including SharePoint, SQL Server, web services, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Troubleshoot integration failures and implement resolution strategies.
Incident Management & Troubleshooting
- Monitor platform health, diagnose issues, and perform root-cause analysis for system incidents.
- Propose and implement preventive measures to mitigate recurring issues.
- Provide timely support to end users and resolve operational incidents.
Governance, Compliance & Security
- Ensure adherence to security policies, access control standards, and user/group management protocols within the K2 environment.
- Maintain audit readiness and compliance documentation.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including system architecture details, standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
- Participate in system testing, validation, and the rollout of new features and platform enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 35+ years of experience in K2 system administration or workflow operations.
- Strong hands-on expertise with:
- K2 Five / K2 Cloud
- SmartForms, SmartObjects, workflows
- K2 Management and Designer tools
- SharePoint and SQL Server integrations
- REST/SOAP services
- Solid troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
- Working knowledge of .NET, SQL queries, and basic scripting for automation.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Certifications in K2, BPM, workflow automation, or related technologies.
