Job Description

I. Basic Information

  • Position Name: Key Account Sales Director, Middle East
  • Department: JD Industrial International Business Department
  • Work Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

II. Job Overview

This position is fully responsible for the strategic planning, team management and business implementation of JD Industrial's key account sales in the Middle East region (with Saudi Arabia as the core, radiating GCC member states). It focuses on B2B direct customer development and in-depth operation, leads major customer negotiations, cooperation implementation and long-term relationship maintenance, leads the team to achieve annual sales performance goals, promotes the brand penetration and market expansion of JD Industrial in the Middle East industrial supply chain field, helps JD Industrial realize two-way empowerment with the Middle East market, and connects the industrial transformation needs under Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. At the same time, it strictly complies with the relevant policies on localization of sales positions in Saudi Arabia and coordinates the compliant operation of the team.

III. Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Performance

  1. Lead the formulation of the key account sales strategy and annual/quarterly/monthly sales plans for the Middle East region based on JD Industrial's global strategy and the characteristics of the Middle East market (such as the core industrial needs of petrochemicals, new energy, infrastructure construction, etc.), decompose performance indicators to individuals, and lead the team to achieve overall sales goals (including core KPIs such as sales volume, gross profit margin, and the number of new customer developments).
  2. Focus on B2B direct customer development, focus on developing core key customers in the Middle East such as large industrial enterprises, state-owned enterprises, Chinese-funded overseas enterprises, and transnational industrial groups, dig deep into customer procurement needs (such as MRO, electronic components, industrial supply chain solutions, etc.), and promote cooperation implementation and large-scale repurchase.
  3. Monitor market dynamics, competitor situations and changes in industry policies (such as Saudi localization policies, import and export policies, etc.), adjust sales strategies in a timely manner, optimize customer structure, and improve market share and core competitiveness.

2. Key Account Management

  1. Lead the business negotiation, contract signing and performance follow-up of major key customers, establish high-level customer relationships, maintain long-term cooperation stickiness of core customers, solve major problems in the cooperation process (such as supply chain performance, service optimization, etc.), and improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  2. Coordinate the full life cycle management of key customers, conduct regular customer reviews, analyze customer procurement data, tap potential customer needs, provide customized industrial supply chain solutions, and promote in-depth excavation of customer value.
  3. Coordinate relevant internal departments such as technology, performance and operation of the company to provide end-to-end service support for key customers, ensure that customer needs are quickly responded to and implemented, and replicate the successful experience of JD Industrial in projects such as NEOM Future City in Saudi Arabia.

3. Team Management & Construction

  1. Be responsible for the establishment, recruitment, training and management of the key account sales team in the Middle East, build a high-performance sales team, clarify the job responsibilities of team members, and improve the overall sales ability, negotiation ability and customer service level of the team.
  2. Establish a team performance appraisal and incentive mechanism, stimulate the enthusiasm and combat effectiveness of the team, create a positive team atmosphere, reduce employee turnover rate, and at the same time follow the requirements of Saudi sales position localization rate to promote team localization construction.
  3. Guide team members to carry out customer development, follow-up and maintenance work, solve difficult problems in team work, cultivate core team backbones, and promote the continuous improvement of team capabilities.

4. Other Responsibilities

  1. Cooperate with the company's International Business Department to complete market research, brand promotion and industry activities (such as overseas exhibitions, customer seminars, etc.) in the Middle East, and enhance the brand influence of JD Industrial in the Middle East.
  2. Strictly abide by the company's rules and regulations, local laws and regulations and business practices in the Middle East, ensure the compliant development of sales business, and prevent business risks (such as compliant operation, account recovery, etc.).
  3. Regularly submit sales performance reports, market analysis reports and team management reports to the reporting object, and timely synchronize business progress and problems.

IV. Job Requirements

1. Education Background

  1. Bachelor's degree or above, major in International Trade, Marketing, Industrial Management, Business English, etc. is preferred; those with excellent conditions can appropriately relax the academic requirements.

2. Work Experience

  1. More than 8 years of B2B direct customer sales experience, including more than 5 years of key account sales management experience in the industrial field (such as MRO, industrial supply chain, electronic components, petrochemicals, infrastructure, etc.), and those with sales experience in the Middle East (especially Saudi Arabia) are preferred.
  2. Have rich experience in key customer development, business negotiation and team management, have successful cases of leading the team to complete large sales performance and expand core key customers, and be familiar with the characteristics of the industrial market and customer needs in the Middle East.
  3. Those who understand JD Industrial's business model (such as digital supply chain, intelligent warehousing, etc.) or have sales experience in similar industrial supply chain enterprises and cross-border e-commerce B2B are preferred, and those with sales experience related to Chinese-funded enterprises going overseas will get extra points.

3. Language Ability

  1. Required: Chinese (native language), English (fluent, can be used as a working language, with proficient oral negotiation, written communication and document processing capabilities, and can independently complete English business negotiations and contract writing).
  2. Preferred: Possess Arabic communication skills (fluent in spoken language, able to handle daily business communication and customer connection), and those familiar with Arab culture and business practices are preferred.

  4. Customer orientation: Possess a strong sense of customer service, focus on customer experience, can quickly respond to customer needs, maintain customer relationships, and improve customer loyalty.
  5. Compliance awareness: Familiar with local laws, regulations and business practices in the Middle East, especially Saudi localization policies, have good professional ethics and compliance awareness, and no bad employment records.
  6. Execution ability: Strong sense of goal, efficient work, can quickly implement sales plans, follow up business progress, and ensure that all work is carried out in an orderly manner and achieve expected goals.

5. Other Requirements

  1. Able to work in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for a long time, adapt to the work rhythm and cultural habits in the Middle East, and accept necessary business trips within the region (such as to GCC member states such as Dubai and Kuwait).
