Job Description

Position: Key Account Manager

Department: Distribution Sales

Location: Riyadh Saudi Arabia

Key Responsibilities

1. Modern Trade Contract Management (Core Responsibility)

  • Lead end-to-end contract management with major Modern Trade retailers such as Panda, Al Othaim, Tamimi, Carrefour, and Lulu.
  • Negotiate annual contracts, trading terms, JT plans, BDAs, rebates, and promotional agreements.
  • Ensure contracts comply with internal commercial policies and maximize business return on investment (ROI).
  • Monitor retailer compliance with agreed-upon terms, including pricing, visibility, promotions, and payments.
  • Build strong winwin partnerships ensuring sustainable long-term growth.

2. Key Account Development

  • Strengthen and grow relationships with strategic accounts to enhance distribution, visibility, and share of shelf.
  • Develop tailored business plans for each key customer aligned with company objectives.

3. Sales Strategy & Target Achievement

  • Create and execute annual sales strategies to achieve revenue, volume, and profitability targets.
  • Identify growth opportunities and develop actionable initiatives with retailers.

4. Business Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze account performance, category trends, pricing, and competitor activities.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommend commercial actions.

5. BDAs Management (Mandatory Experience)

  • Build, negotiate, and manage comprehensive Business Development Agreements (BDAs) with key retailers.
  • Ensure proper investment allocation, tracking, and evaluation of BDA performance.

6. Proposals, Reporting & Forecasting

  • Prepare commercial proposals, JBP presentations, and detailed business performance reports.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and ensure healthy business planning.
  • Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Key Account Manager in the FMCG sector.
    • Mandatory: Proven expertise in managing Modern Trade contracts and BDAs.
    • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
    • Excellent analytical, reporting, and teamwork abilities.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and Power BI is a plus.
