Black & Grey HR is recruiting for one of the leading food manufacturing companies in Jeddah. Our client is seeking to hire a Lab Supervisor to oversee laboratory operations across GCC facilities and ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise daily laboratory operations across GCC laboratories, ensuring optimal resource utilization and operational efficiency.
- Review and critically analyze laboratory results and report findings to the QA Manager.
- Provide technical guidance to laboratory teams and support decision-making related to testing, analysis, and quality control processes.
- Ensure laboratory procedures comply with ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratory Accreditation Standard and internal quality standards.
- Monitor laboratory activities, maintain accurate sample traceability, and ensure adherence to sampling plans and testing protocols.
- Lead and develop laboratory personnel through training, coaching, performance feedback, and succession planning.
- Manage laboratory administrative activities including asset tracking, procurement requests, and equipment maintenance.
- Support R&D initiatives, including validation and development of new testing methods and technologies.
- Ensure implementation of corporate quality programs, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with food safety, halal, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the implementation and effective use of laboratory information systems (LIMS) across GCC laboratories.
- Participate in budgeting, investment planning, and laboratory infrastructure improvement projects.
- Promote and enforce HSE policies and safe laboratory practices.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, halal standards, and corporate quality policies.
- Support internal and external audits, incident investigations, and corrective action implementation.
- Contribute to crisis management, risk management, and food safety culture initiatives across the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Veterinary Sciences, Biochemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Food Safety, GMP, and Food Hygiene standards
- Experience with food microbiology, chemistry, and laboratory testing processes
- Understanding of production processes in the food manufacturing industry
- Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP (preferred)
- Analytical thinking, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Strong team management, coaching, and stakeholder communication abilities
