Key Accountabilities:
Budgets & Plans
- Develop and activate the long-term plan for providing medical services to patients of the Lab department.
- Prepare the department's annual budget in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Develop, evaluate and follow-up the policies and procedures of the department.
- Responsible for preparing and updating the department's work manual (Departmental Manual) in cooperation with the Quality Department.
- Ensure the validity of the license and the fulfillment of its legal requirements to ensure the continuity of service provision.
- Communicate with the pre-approval Department to follow-up on the approval of the referred cases.
- Schedule staff shifts for doctors, chemists and technicians on a daily basis to ensure the patient's safety on a constant basis.
- Carry out a monthly meeting with staff to discuss the performance indicators for the department and follow up on the activation of performance improvement plans for the management.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Follow-up on all activities and procedures provided to patients to ensure the consistency with the policies and rules of quality management and the medical laws and rules in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
- Discuss with consultants their cases to measure the accuracy of lab reports and to prepare development plans.
- Prepare service delivery schedules and optimal use of lab equipment to ensure that the service is provided to the largest possible number of patients.
- Responsible for ensuring that critical results are communicated on time by the Quality Department as per hospital policy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in medicine.
- PHD in clinical pathology is must
- 10 years of experience in which 3-years at the same position.
