Laundry Attendant

Private Royal Estate / Palace | Abu Dhabi, UAE
The Client will arrange the work visa and relocation if not local.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Laundry Attendant supports the smooth daily operation of a high-standard palace laundry, ensuring all household linen, uniforms, and garments are processed, finished, and presented to exceptional luxury standards. The role requires technical laundry knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within a professional hospitality environment.
Qualifications / Skills
- High School certificate or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience in professional laundry operations
- Hotel, luxury hospitality, or private estate experience highly regarded
- Good working knowledge of industrial laundry machinery
- Basic English communication skills preferred
Experience & Skills
- Experience operating washers, dryers, flatwork ironers, and steam presses
- Ability to correctly sort garments by fabric, colour, and cleaning method
- Familiarity with stain identification and stain-removal techniques
- Experience handling uniforms, bed linen, and F&B linen
- Strong organisational skills and ability to complete checklists accurately
- Team-oriented, reliable, and detail-focused
Roles & Responsibilities
- Wash, dry, press, and finish household linen, staff uniforms, and garments
- Operate flatwork ironer for royal family bedding and F&B linen
- Handle steam press for uniform steaming and garment finishing
- Sort and segregate uniforms and linen from multiple palace locations
- Maintain accurate laundry and uniform checklists
- Regulate laundry machines including chemical dosing, cycles, and temperatures
- Perform basic machine care such as lubrication and filter cleaning
- Identify stains and apply appropriate stain-removal treatments
- Label garments using hand or machine marking systems
- Fold, hang, and package items to palace presentation standards
- Support laundry operations across other estate locations as required
- Carry out additional duties assigned by the Laundry Manager
