Job Description
Create the experience before the guest has even arrived. As a Laundry Attendant, the organizational support you provide to the housekeeping team will ensure our guest rooms are well equipped and that our guests Feel Welcome from the minute they step into their room.
Job Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, press, and fold linens, towels, uniforms, and guest clothing.
- Operate laundry machinery including washers, dryers, and pressing equipment.
- Follow proper chemical usage and fabric care instructions.
- Inspect items for stains or damage and rewash or report as necessary.
- Ensure all laundry items meet quality and cleanliness standards
- Handle guest laundry requests promptly and accurately.
- Mark, tag, and track guest garments to prevent loss or damage.
- Ensure correct billing procedures for guest laundry services.
- Distribute clean uniforms and maintain uniform control records.
- Maintain proper storage of clean linens and uniforms.
- Monitor stock levels of linen and laundry supplies.
- Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area and equipment.
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
- Use protective equipment when handling chemicals.
- Report any machine malfunctions immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping (1 year preferred).
- Basic knowledge of fabric types and stain removal techniques.
- Ability to operate laundry equipment safely.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours and lift heavy loads.
