The Crux of the Opportunity
100% Greenfield Development: You will build the product from day one on a clean, modern architecture. There is no legacy code and no inherited technical debt.
Commitment to the Frontier: We follow a latest and greatest approach to technology. You will help choose, implement, and evolve the tools that power the platform, including frontier LLMs, vector databases, and agent-based systems.
Team Ownership of Technology: The AI landscape moves fast, and decisions are made by the people building the system. The team debates tradeoffs, experiments, and collectively shapes the technical direction to keep the platform competitive and relevant.
Cutting-Edge Stack: We work with Agentic AI frameworks such as Agent Kit and LangGraph, alongside modern generative models in a multi-language environment using Python and TypeScript.

Job Description
As the Lead AI Engineer, you will own the architecture, design, and implementation of the core intelligence behind a fully AI-native legal operating platform. This is a senior, hands-on role where you will define how AI systems are built, integrated, and scaled across the product, from retrieval pipelines to multi-agent orchestration and LLM-driven automation.
You will be responsible for selecting frontier models, designing reliable integration layers, and building intelligent workflows that turn complex legal processes into accurate, autonomous systems. You will work closely with product leadership and the founding engineering team to translate the Product Strategy Document into a clear AI roadmap, evaluate architectural options, prototype solutions, and ship production-ready systems.
This role requires both strong execution and technical leadership. You will mentor AI and data engineers, set quality standards, assess new technologies, and guide the long-term evolution of the AI stack. You will also help define our approach to evaluation, data governance, vector retrieval, safety controls, and agent reliability.
This is a chance to build a first-of-its-kind agentic legal intelligence platform from zero. You will set the patterns, make key decisions, and build systems that influence the future of legal automation.

Academic Requirement Note
A degree from a globally recognized institution with specialization in Computer Science, Engineering, or a data or AI discipline is strongly preferred. Candidates from leading Egyptian universities such as Alexandria University, The American University in Cairo (AUC), Cairo University, Ain Shams University, and Mansoura University are highly encouraged to apply.
