Lead Data Scientist in our office in Dubai

The ideal candidate will leverage advanced Machine Learning (ML) and Data Science (DS) techniques to build models, analyze trading patterns, build risk hedging strategies, customer behavior analysis, new product experimentation and optimize overall decision-making processes across the org using data. This role requires a strong understanding of financial and trading markets or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy machine learning models for trading signal generation, risk management, and customer behavior prediction.
• Perform data analysis on large-scale financial datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
• Design and execute A/B experiments to validate hypotheses and measure the impact of product changes.
• Build data visualization dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with quantitative analysts, product managers, and data engineering teams to integrate models into production systems.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch).
• Expertise in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Familiarity with Azure and Databricks eco-system

Domain Knowledge:

• Solid understanding of financial markets, trading and brokerage operations.
• Ability to design and interpret experiments and statistical tests.
• Other Requirements:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Experience Requirements

• 12+ years of experience.
• Familiarity with risk management, portfolio optimization, and marketing analytics is a plus.
• Data Science & ML:
• Hands-on experience with supervised and unsupervised learning, time-series analysis, and feature engineering.
• Experience in Production deployment and monitoring of ML models
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, seaborn).
