Lead DeFi Engineer Dubai
Venture Search is proud to partner with a crypto-native proprietary trading firm who launched a high-priority DeFi trading desk, combining the speed and innovation of a startup with the capital, stability, and resources of a profitable trading firm. As the desk continues to scale, they are now building out the technical core of the team and are seeking a Lead DeFi Engineer to help architect and grow their DeFi infrastructure from the ground up.
This is a Dubai-based, on-site role, with full relocation and visa sponsorship provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Extend and scale a DeFi trading infrastructure
- Build high-performance integrations with DeFi protocols and smart contracts
- Develop real-time blockchain data pipelines for event processing and market signals
- Design and implement microservices to expand automation and trading capabilities
- Own critical system components from architecture through deployment and operation
- Optimize system performance, including potential use of Rust for low-latency paths
- Leverage AI-powered development tools (e.g. Claude, Codex, Cursor) to maximize productivity
- Contribute to technical decision-making as a hands-on engineering leader
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of AMMs, MEV, liquidations, and on-chain protocol mechanics.
- Proven experience building and operating real-time, production-grade microservices.
- Ability to read Solidity and understand on-chain logic and protocol behavior.
- Comfortable using modern AI tooling to accelerate development workflows.
- Willingness to relocate and work on-site in Dubai full time.
- Python and/or Rust experience highly desirable
