Lead Design Architect

We are partnering with a leading multinational architectural practice to appoint a talented Lead Design Architect to join their dynamic Dubai studio. This is a key leadership role within a highly respected, design-driven firm delivering landmark projects across the Middle East and internationally, including luxury resorts, mixed-use developments, high-rise towers, retail destinations, and cultural assets.

You will take ownership of the design process from the earliest concept stages, producing highly detailed, innovative, and visually compelling design solutions.

The role requires a strong balance of creativity and technical understanding, with the ability to translate complex briefs into clear, buildable design strategies. You will play a pivotal role in shaping project narratives, presenting to clients, and ensuring design excellence is maintained throughout the lifecycle of each project.

Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will lead multidisciplinary coordination, manage design outputs, and mentor junior designers. You will also be instrumental in driving design quality across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations, commercial objectives, and regional regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead concept design and early-stage development across a diverse project portfolio
• Produce highly detailed concept packages, visuals, and presentation materials
• Develop strong architectural narratives and innovative design strategies
• Present design proposals to clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and authorities
• Guide and mentor junior team members, fostering a strong design culture
• Ensure design intent is maintained through all subsequent project stages

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Design Architect within a reputable international practice
• Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality, detailed concept design work
• Experience delivering large-scale projects across hospitality, mixed-use, towers, retail, and cultural sectors
• Fully proficient in Autodesk Revit (essential)
• Skilled in AutoCAD, Navisworks, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper, SketchUp
• Experience with visualization and rendering tools such as Lumion, V-Ray, Enscape, Twinmotion, and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Knowledge of project collaboration platforms (BIM 360, Trimble Connect, Procore) is a plus
• Strong understanding of design processes from concept through to delivery
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
