Role Summary
Hantec Markets is seeking a highly skilled Lead Frontend Architect to define and lead the frontend architecture of our digital platforms. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing and delivering fully React-driven web applications, using WordPress as a headless CMS, while ensuring performance, security, scalability, and regulatory alignment.
This is a senior, hands-on role requiring strong technical leadership, architectural ownership, and close collaboration with product, UX, backend, and DevOps teams.
Role Scope & Ownership
- Own the frontend architectural vision across Hantec Markets web platforms
- Act as the technical authority for frontend technologies and standards
- Define long-term frontend strategy aligned with business, regulatory, and scalability requirements
- Ensure frontend solutions support global, multi-region operations
Key Responsibilities
- Define, document, and enforce frontend architecture standards and best practices
- Design and deliver scalable React-based applications (SPA, SSR, SSG)
- Architect headless frontend solutions using WordPress as a CMS (REST / GraphQL)
- Lead frontend technical strategy and roadmap across multiple initiatives
- Build and maintain design systems and reusable component libraries
- Ensure high standards of performance, accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), SEO, and frontend security
- Lead code reviews and provide technical mentorship to frontend engineers
- Collaborate closely with backend, UX, product, compliance, and DevOps teams
- Drive performance optimization, modern build pipelines, and deployment strategies
- Produce and maintain architecture documentation and technical guidelines
Delivery & Lifecycle Ownership
- Participate in technical discovery and solution design
- Guide delivery from concept through production and continuous improvement
- Ensure frontend solutions are robust, testable, observable, and production-ready
- Support release planning, post-release monitoring, and ongoing optimization
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of frontend development experience
- Expert-level knowledge of React and JavaScript / TypeScript
- Strong experience with Next.js or equivalent React frameworks
- Proven experience using WordPress as a headless CMS
- Strong experience with REST APIs and GraphQL (WPGraphQL preferred)
- Advanced understanding of state management solutions
- Strong knowledge of web performance optimization and Core Web Vitals
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployments
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with senior stakeholders
