Role Purpose
Lead and oversee all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) activities at the offshore site, ensuring full compliance with company standards, project HSE plans, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe and incident-free work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for all HSE functions at the offshore site.
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE plans, procedures, and strategies for project execution.
- Oversee risk assessments, HAZID/HAZOP activities, SIMOPS planning, and safety studies.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and international offshore HSE standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and monitoring to ensure HSE performance.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Coordinate with project managers, discipline leads, contractors, and HSE teams to ensure safe work execution.
- Provide HSE training, coaching, and competency development for offshore personnel.
- Prepare HSE reports, KPIs, performance dashboards, and regulatory documentation.
- Promote a strong safety culture through active engagement, leadership, and behavioral safety programs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 18+ years of HSE experience in the oil & gas industry.
- Extensive offshore project experience is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of international HSE standards (OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, API, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, HSE, or related discipline.
- NEBOSH IGC/IDip, OHSAS/ISO lead auditor certificates preferred.
- Valid offshore medical, BOSIET/FOET, and H2S certifications.
