Job Title: Lead Machinist, Workshop
Job Summary:
The Lead Machinist is responsible for operating and maintaining workshop machinery, supervising daily workshop activities, and ensuring all operations meet safety and quality standards. The role also oversees equipment sourcing, supply, installation, and provides technical guidance to machinists and workshop staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot workshop machinery and tools.
- Oversee daily workshop operations and support machining activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Supervise machinists and provide technical direction.
- Coordinate sourcing, supply, installation, and commissioning of workshop equipment.
- Maintain machinery records, maintenance logs, and performance documentation.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
Experience Requirements:
- 59 years of hands-on experience in machining or workshop operations.
- Strong experience operating CNC/manual machines and workshop tools.
- Experience supervising a workshop or machining team.
- Knowledge of equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and workshop procedures.
