Role Summary
The CLM Legal Assistant supports the end-to-end contract lifecycle process, including drafting, reviewing, tracking, and managing contractual documents within the company's contract management system. The role ensures accuracy, compliance with UAE & EU laws and regulations, and timely contract execution. The assistant works closely with legal counsel, procurement, commercial, and operations teams
Key Responsibilities
1. Contract Drafting & Review
- Assist in preparing and reviewing commercial contracts, NDAs, vendor agreements, and service contracts.
- Highlight key legal risks and inconsistencies for review by legal counsel.
- Ensure all contract templates comply with UAE legal standards and internal policies.
2. Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) System Support
- Maintain and update the CLM platform with contract data, deadlines, approval workflows, and related documentation.
- Monitor contract status and ensure timely follow-ups for approvals, signatures, and renewals.
- Generate contract reports, dashboards, and metrics for management.
3. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure contracts comply with UAE & EU legal requirements and company guidelines.
- Track key contract obligations, milestones, and renewal dates.
- Assist with audit requests and compliance documentation.
4. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Liaise with procurement, finance, HR, and operations to gather required inputs for contract preparation.
- Act as the point of contact for contract-related inquiries from internal teams and external partners.
- Coordinate contract signature processes (digital and physical) including notarization or legalization when needed.
5. Administrative & Legal Support
- Maintain organized digital and physical contract archives.
- Assist with legal research related to contract laws, compliance, and regulatory requirements in the UAE &EU.
- Support the legal team with ad-hoc tasks, meeting minutes, and documentation.
