Due to rapid growth and the launch of new projects, we are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our in-house construction company in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage construction-related agreements, including subcontractor contracts and consultancy agreements.
- Advise on FIDIC contracts and construction law matters.
- Handle contract administration, claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes.
- Manage labor-related legal matters, employment disputes, and compliance with UAE labor regulations.
- Provide legal support on commercial, operational, and regulatory matters.
- Coordinate with external law firms when required and oversee litigation matters.
- Prepare legal reports, risk assessments, and recommendations for senior management.
- Report directly to the General Counsel and support the legal function across multiple business activities.
Requirements:
- 5–10 years of legal experience, including both private practice and in-house counsel experience.
- Strong background in the construction industry.
- Proven experience with FIDIC contracts, subcontractor agreements, claims management, and dispute resolution.
- Experience handling labor claims and employment-related legal matters.
- Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding of UAE laws and regulations relevant to construction and commercial operations.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
