JOB PURPOSE
Provide legal support across litigation, contracting, compliance, and governance to protect the company's interests and ensure alignment with applicable laws and regulations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Legal Advisory & Compliance
- Provide accurate and timely legal advice to management and internal departments on a wide range of legal issues.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, MOUs, agreements, NDAs, supplier contracts, employment contracts, and commercial documents.
- Ensure the company's policies and procedures are compliant with UAE legislation and relevant international regulations.
- Conduct legal risk assessments and recommend preventive measures.
- Litigation & Case Management
- Manage all ongoing legal cases of the company across all jurisdictions.
- Liaise with external law firms, prepare case documents, and track progress of litigation matters.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings where required.
- Maintain a comprehensive case tracker with status updates, deadlines, and outcomes.
- Corporate Governance
- Advise on corporate structuring, company formation, license renewals, and regulatory filings.
- Support board resolutions, power of attorney preparations, and other corporate documents.
- Oversee compliance with commercial, labor, and corporate regulations.
- Regulatory & Government Relations
- Interact with government bodies, free zones, and regulatory authorities as required.
- Ensure compliance with changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Monitor updates in UAE laws and provide timely briefs to management.
- Internal Support & Communication
- Provide legal training and awareness sessions to employees when needed.
- Support HR with disciplinary actions, employee grievances, and legal aspects of terminations.
- Advise Finance, Procurement, Sales, and Operations on legal risks and obligations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (LLB / LLM).
- Minimum 58 years of experience as a Legal Counsel or similar role.
- Experience handling litigation, corporate law, labor law, and commercial matters in the UAE.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in Arabic is mandatory; excellent English communication skills required.

- Strong knowledge of Corporate Law, Labor Law, and related regional jurisdictions
- Experience developing legal policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks
- High-level legal drafting and writing proficiency.
- Contract drafting, negotiation, and jointventure documentation experience.
- Ability to design both defensive and proactive litigation strategies.
- Upto-date understanding of UAE and regional laws/regulations.
