Urban Capital Development is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to support our real estate development portfolio across all legal aspectsfrom land acquisition through construction, sales, and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on land acquisition, sale and purchase agreements, options, and joint venture arrangements
- Conduct legal due diligence, including title reviews, land registry matters, easements, and encumbrances
- Advise on zoning, planning approvals, master developer regulations, and authority requirements (e.g., DLD, RERA, DM, ADM, ADREC, ADGM, DMT, Trakheesi, etc., as applicable)
- Draft, review, and negotiate development-related contracts, including construction, consultancy, PMC, and design agreements
- Support project structuring, financing transactions, and security documentation in coordination with finance teams
- Advise on off-plan sales, leasing matters, disclosures, and escrow compliance
- Manage claims and disputes, and coordinate with external legal counsel when required
- Ensure compliance with UAE real estate, construction, commercial, and regulatory laws
- Provide ongoing legal support throughout construction, handover, and operational phases
- Act as a trusted legal advisor to senior management on risk mitigation and strategic decisions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB); Master's degree is a plus
- Minimum 46 years of relevant legal experience (real estate/developer side preferred)
- Strong knowledge of UAE real estate and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Fluency in English (Arabic is a strong advantage)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
