Job Summary:

Licensed Aircraft Engineer Level 1 is responsible for delivering aircraft maintenance activities to directly support flight operations. The role ensures maintenance checks and duties are performed within the scope of the engineer's license and authority. The position requires specialized technical expertise to ensure safe, effective, and efficient aircraft operations in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Mandatory Requirements & Qualification:

Education:

• Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance / Trade or Vocational Aircraft Maintenance Qualification

OR

• Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng./BSc or equivalent) in Aircraft Engineering

Experience:

• Without Degree: Minimum 5 years of job-related experience
• With Degree: Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
• Internal candidates: Minimum 3 years aircraft certifying experience as EN.00

Technical Skills:

• Must hold minimum 1 full QR main fleet ICAO/QCAA license and approvals
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, and regulatory compliance
• Ability to determine appropriate tools and equipment for tasks
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
• Equipment/heavy vehicle driving license as required by company
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Mandatory Criteria:

• Valid Aircraft Maintenance License (ICAO/QCAA approved)
• Ability to supervise, delegate, and manage workflow
• Strong mentoring, coaching, and training capability
• Compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and data protection standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute assigned aircraft maintenance activities efficiently in line with company procedures.
• Certify and release work completed by mechanics ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Ensure aircraft serviceability meets operational schedules and dispatch reliability targets.
• Provide technical guidance, on-the-job training, and supervision to technicians and mechanics.
• Maintain compliance with safety, security, environmental, and data protection policies.
• Support emergency response and operational disruptions as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance processes and standards.
