About Your Team

This role sits within the site Logistics function and reports directly to the Logistics Manager, working closely with the Project Lifting Appointed Person/Crane Coordinator. The team is responsible for coordinating lifting activities, maintaining safe site logistics, and ensuring lifting operations comply with approved lift plans, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.

Your Role

As a Lifting Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise and manage lifting operations in accordance with approved lift plans and safety requirements.
• Ensure lift plans, certificates, and thorough examination records are current and available before operations commence.
• Verify the competency and certification of plant operators, riggers, and equipment involved in lifting activities.
• Coordinate daily lifting activities with the Project Lifting Appointed Person/Crane Coordinator.
• Lead daily briefings on lift plans and Method Statements and Risk Assessments (MSRA).
• Conduct and document inspections of lifting accessories and equipment before and after use.
• Deliver toolbox talks and Daily Safety Task Instructions (DSTI) to lifting teams.
• Identify and address lifting-related hazards, changes, and safety concerns before operations begin.
• Ensure ground conditions, lifting zones, exclusion zones, and access routes are safe and compliant.
• Identify, report, and quarantine defective lifting accessories or equipment.
• Coordinate daily lifting, vertical transport, and horizontal transport activities.
• Review completed lifting operations and provide feedback to support continuous improvement.

This role is full time and follows a Monday to Saturday work week, typical for project-based positions in our industry.

What We're Looking For

Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in lifting operations within construction environments.

Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of lift plans, MSRA, lifting equipment, and safe lifting practices.
• Excellent understanding of lifting safety regulations and site logistics.
• Knowledge of equipment inspections, lifting accessories, and operational safety requirements.

Skills:

• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in dynamic construction environments.
• Proficiency in documentation and reporting.

Desirable:

• Additional training or certification in rigging, crane operations, or related lifting disciplines.

Qualifications:

• Qualification in an appropriate discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Certified Lift Supervisor accreditation is required.
