The Lighting Designer is responsible for delivering high-performance lighting design solutions that enhance spatial quality, architectural expression, and material definition across EVA Interiors luxury projects.
This role is both design-critical and technically accountable, ensuring that every lighting solution is not only visually impactful but also precisely engineered, coordinated, and buildable.
The Lighting Designer is expected to:
- Develop integrated lighting concepts that reinforce spatial hierarchy, mood, and focal points within high-end residential environments
- Translate concepts into fully detailed and coordinated technical packages, including reflected ceiling plans, fixture layouts, circuiting logic, and specifications
- Perform and validate lighting calculations (lux levels, uniformity ratios, beam distribution, glare control, and energy efficiency) in line with international standards (IES / CIBSE / BS)
- Define and select lighting fixtures, drivers, and control systems, ensuring compatibility with architectural details, ceiling conditions, and joinery integration
- Ensure full coordination with MEP systems, ceiling design, and FF&E, eliminating clashes and ensuring execution feasibility
- Drive precision in detailing, ensuring correct positioning, alignment, recessing, and integration of lighting elements within built environments
- Support site execution by validating installations against design intent and resolving technical issues during construction
The role requires a strong balance between design sensitivity and technical rigor, with a clear focus on:
- Accuracy and completeness of design documentation
- Constructability and site readiness
- Consistency in lighting quality across all project stages
Ultimately, the Lighting Designer contributes to EVA's positioning by ensuring that lighting is not treated as an add-on, but as a core architectural and experiential layer, executed with precision and discipline.
