Role Overview
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be based in our high-volume Dubai fulfillment center, reporting to the Logistics Supervisor. You will be the heartbeat of our daily ground delivery and e-commerce logistics operations across multiple shifts. Your mission is to ensure seamless dispatch, safe shipment handling, and rapid, accurate delivery performance to meet strict B2B/B2C customer SLAs. This role plays a critical part in optimizing last-mile delivery, maximizing fleet utilization, and driving operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatch & Route Optimization: Manage daily ground delivery operations, including real-time route planning, dynamic morning dispatch wave planning, and sorting floor operations.
- Fleet & Driver Management: Oversee a large pool of delivery drivers and outsourced headcount providers—handling onboarding, daily briefing, training, and shift scheduling.
- Performance Tracking (KPIs): Own and drive critical e-commerce logistics metrics, including Delivery/Pickup Success Rate, On-Time Delivery (OTD), Shipments Per Route (SPR), Truck/Van Utilization, and Cost Per Order (CPO).
- Systems & Automation: Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and route-optimization software to streamline ground dispatch and tracking.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks in the last-mile network, performing root-cause analysis to improve delivery speed and reduce transit costs.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols during heavy shipment sorting, loading, and vehicle dispatch.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in logistics operations.
- Proven experience managing operations teams (>10 associates and large pool of drivers).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data management, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Proficiency in Excel (formulas, spreadsheets), Google Sheets, Google Forms, and process documentation.
- Hands-on experience with transportation management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a fast-scaling e-commerce or fulfillment environment.
- Knowledge of logistics optimization tools and techniques.
