Job Brief:

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Logistics Officer to efficiently manage inbound and outbound shipments while ensuring timely coordination with shipping lines and freight agents. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of import/export documentation and hands-on SAP experience, with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively across teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with shipping lines and freight agents to arrange trailers and containers for inbound deliveries.
  • Handle the full cycle of inbound and outbound logistics activities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of customs documentation for Abu Dhabi and Dubai operations.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of inbound shipments.
  • Manage import and export clearance documentation, particularly for sea freight.
  • Prepare monthly logistics reports and presentations using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
  • Negotiate shipping rates and terms to ensure cost-effective logistics solutions.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum3 years of relevant experience in logistics, preferably within themanufacturing sector.
  • At least3 years of hands-on experience using SAP, preferably inlogistics or supply chain modules.
  • Proven experience coordinating withshipping lines, freight forwarders, and agentsfor arranging trailers and containers forinbound, outbound, export, and local deliveries.
  • Strong understanding ofinbound and outbound shipment operations, including planning, execution, and follow-up.
  • Sound knowledge ofimport and export clearance documentation, particularly forsea freight and land operations.
  • Familiarity withcustoms procedures and documentationinAbu Dhabi and Dubai.
  • Capable of maintainingaccurate and up-to-date shipment recordsand logistics documentation.
  • Proficient inMicrosoft Office, especiallyExcel and PowerPoint, with experience preparingmonthly operational and performance reports.
  • Strongcommunication, coordination, and negotiation skillsin English;Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able tomanage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced logistics environment.
