About the Role
We are seeking a high-caliber Logistics Professional to manage the end-to-end supply chain for our beverage ingredients business. This role requires a strategic operator who understands the technicalities of CIS exports, complex food-grade documentation, and the financial impact of logistics on business margins.
Key Responsibilities
1. Export Management & CIS Specialization
- Lead the full export cycle from the UAE to CIS markets, ensuring compliance with regional customs unions and specific import regulations.
- Use English and Russian to negotiate with providers and resolve issues with international stakeholders.
2. Advanced Documentation & Food Compliance
- Personally handle and verify all shipping documents for sea and land freight (Invoices, PL, BL, COO, Health and Phytosanitary Certificates).
- Manage shelf-life sensitive products, ensuring FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles and specialized handling for beverage ingredients.
- Lead customs clearance processes, specifically for food-grade regulated items.
3. Financial Impact & Cost Control
- Landed Cost Calculation: Responsible for calculating and analyzing landed costs to ensure business profitability.
- Margin Influence: Understand and optimize how logistics decisions (route, carrier, timing) affect the final pricing and cost-in-use for the customer.
- Active management of demurrage and detention to achieve zero-penalty operations.
- Negotiate freight rates and balance cost versus delivery urgency based on commercial priorities.
4. Crisis Management & Process Improvement
- Resolve supply chain disruptions, damaged shipments, or customs rejections with a proactive contingency plan mindset.
- Identify and implement at least one major logistics process improvement annually to increase efficiency.
Profile & Requirements
- Educational Attainment: University Degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Logistics Experience: Minimum of [Insert Number, e.g., 3+] years in logistics roles, with a proven track record in Freight Forwarding and Sea Freight.
- Industry Expertise: At least [Insert Number, e.g., 2+] years specifically within the Food & Beverage (F&;B) sector, handling perishable or ingredient-based goods.
- Technical Mastery:
- Expert-level knowledge of Incoterms (Practical application).
- Proven experience in Landed Cost analysis and its impact on business margins.
- Deep understanding of UAE and CIS customs procedures for food products.
- Operational Skills: Ability to manage multiple urgent shipments simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Languages: Native or professional fluency in English and Russian is a mandatory requirement for this role.
