Job Title: Logistics Specialist (UAE & KSA Focus)
Overview Our client is seeking a highly organised and proactive Logistics Specialist to manage and optimise endtoend logistics operations across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The role involves planning, coordinating, and executing inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring full compliance with GCC regulations, and supporting smooth operational workflows across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Coordination
- Plan and manage schedules for all inbound and outbound shipments.
- Coordinate domestic and international logistics with suppliers, forwarders, and transporters.
- Ensure compliance with GCC shipping regulations, especially UAE and KSA.
Documentation & Compliance
- Handle all import/export documentation (invoices, packing lists, COO, etc.).
- Ensure regulatory compliance including MOAIT, MOFAIC, Fasah, Saber, and HS code updates.
- Manage customs clearance processes in UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Shipment Management
- Confirm delivery schedules and packing details with suppliers.
- Organise domestic transport within Saudi Arabia.
- Track shipment statuses, ETAs, and delivery confirmations.
Vendor & Cost Control
- Negotiate competitive rates with forwarders and transport partners.
- Review and validate vendor quotes and invoices, resolving discrepancies.
- Coordinate freight and customs duty payments with Finance.
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Analyse and consolidate shipments for cost/time efficiency.
- Maintain shipment trackers and logistics reports.
- Support automation and optimisation of logistics processes.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Serve as the main logistics contact for factory, warehouse, and project teams.
- Communicate shipment updates to warehouse and installation teams.
- Provide regular performance insights to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
- 24 years experience in logistics or supply chain, preferably within the GCC.
- Mandatory: Strong knowledge of Saudi logistics, including transport challenges, customs, and regulatory processes; experience working in KSA preferred.
- Understanding of UAE and KSA import/export procedures.
- Degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
- Strong organisational, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
- Proficiency in logistics planning tools and documentation systems.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Flexible to work extended hours or weekends based on business needs.
