Key Responsibilities
Technical Safety Leadership
- Lead all Technical Safety activities in line with project requirements, ensuring delivery within budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Capture and share project learnings to enhance methodologies and support continuous technical improvement.
- Support commercial effortspromotion, pre-qualification, and biddingby providing consistent guidance and technical input across all initiatives.
- Apply technical expertise and internal know-how to strengthen commercial proposals and client engagements.
Tender & Proposal Support
- Review technical and contractual tender documents to confirm completeness and alignment with project objectives.
- Prepare clarification queries for the client and support the development of qualifications and deviations for proposals.
- Define discipline responsibilities and clarify interfaces with other engineering areas.
- Oversee the preparation of Technical Safety deliverables and all activities required for technical proposals.
- Provide quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and man-hour estimates related to Technical Safety engineering and procurement.
Project Execution Responsibilities
- Contribute to defining the detailed project execution strategy.
- Participate in project risk assessments.
- Establish activity lists, deliverables, schedules, and coordinate discipline activities in accordance with contract requirements.
- Ensure proper workflow, quality checks, interfaces, and approval of all Technical Safety documents.
- Monitor project progress, track man-hours, and ensure adherence to budget and schedule.
- Lead and coordinate the Technical Safety and Environmental team as per the project organization structure.
- Identify scope changes, track variations, and report impacts on man-hours and cost to Project Management.
- Serve as the main interface with the client's technical representatives.
- Participate in multidisciplinary reviews and coordinate interfaces across disciplines.
- Prepare purchase requisitions for discipline-related materials and services, including evaluating technical bids and following up with vendors/subcontractors.
- Provide continuous updates to the Technical Manager and, when required, the Project Manager on technical, financial, or schedule risks.
- Support engineering and management teams in Risk Management processes for design and operations (HAZOP, HAZID, Functional Safety, Technical Integrity, etc.).
