JOB DESCRIPTION
Objective:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for regional maintenance operations, ensuring optimal equipment reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Lead and develop regional maintenance teams to deliver high-quality service, minimize downtime, and support safe, sustainable, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibility:
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Oversee preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
- Diagnose technical issues and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure adherence to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and industry standards in all maintenance practices.
2. Condition Monitoring & Predictive Maintenance
- Implement and manage condition monitoring systems (sensors, inspections, data analysis) to track equipment health.
- Deploy predictive maintenance strategies to proactively address potential failures and extend asset lifespan
3. Maintenance Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, implement, and oversee regional maintenance schedules aligned with operational requirements.
- Coordinate planned shutdowns and maintenance activities to minimize disruption to business operations.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance work, repairs, and equipment history.
- Analyze maintenance data, prepare reports, and identify trends to recommend process improvements.
5. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory safety requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures to ensure the safety of personnel and assets.
6. Continuous Improvement
- Drive initiatives to improve maintenance processes, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead root cause analyses of recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
7. Spare Parts & Inventory Management
- Manage and monitor regional spare parts inventory to ensure availability of critical components.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate effectively to optimize procurement and cost control.
8. Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with production, engineering, HSE, and other departments to align maintenance activities with operational goals.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance to junior technicians and maintenance teams.
9. Project Management
- Lead or support equipment installation, upgrades, and modification projects across the region.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed within budget, scope, and timelines.
Desired Experience:
For a Maintenance Engineer, the ideal years of experience is up to 5 years. This range allows individuals to develop the necessary skills and knowledge in coordinating maintenance activities while also gaining practical experience in facilities management or related fields.
