This opportunity is with our client based in Dubai. The role involves overseeing maintenance of critical plant equipment in a metal smelting and refining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on furnaces, kettles, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Inspect, test, and maintain plant machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to improve reliability and reduce breakdowns.
- Coordinate with the engineering and operations team to plan and execute maintenance activities without disrupting production.
- Monitor and report on equipment performance, maintenance metrics, and potential risks.
- Assist in upgrades, modifications, and installation of new equipment when required.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements on-site.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and reporting for audits and process improvements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians or team members as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance within the metal smelting or refining industry (preferably tin/lead).
- Strong knowledge of furnace, kettle, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to work on-site at a factory/plant.
