Management Accountant - Dubai, UAE

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Management Accountant to support the Chief Financial Officer in managing the finance operations of a growing international group operating across the UK, Ireland, Poland, and Europe.

The successful candidate will be responsible for month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, inventory accounting, intercompany reconciliations, VAT oversight, and management reporting across multiple entities.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is capable of taking ownership of the accounting function with minimal supervision.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting

• Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple entities.
• Assist with consolidated group reporting.
• Analyse financial performance and investigate variances.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.

Month-End Close

• Prepare and post journals including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end reporting.

Inventory & Cost Accounting

• Review inventory reconciliations and stock valuations.
• Analyse inventory movements and stock adjustments.
• Support inventory controls and reporting improvements.

Intercompany Accounting

• Reconcile intercompany balances across multiple entities.
• Investigate and resolve intercompany differences.
• Support cross-border accounting requirements.

VAT & Compliance

• Review VAT submissions and supporting reconciliations.
• Assist with statutory audits and external advisors.
• Support compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Assist with automation and reporting enhancements.

RequirementsEssential

• ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent qualification (part-qualified candidates with strong experience may be considered).
• Minimum 4 years accounting experience.
• Experience preparing monthly management accounts.
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation experience.
• Experience with multi-company accounting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Highly Desirable

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience.
• Inventory accounting experience.
• Multi-currency accounting experience.
• Intercompany accounting experience.
• UK and European VAT exposure.
